Guidelines
for members (including moderators and administrator)
In order to help keep the site an open, safe, and respectful
environment we have created the following guidelines for all
users of the bulletin board.
What
can a member do?
- Post
a topic/ technical issue regarding products supplied by
the Ecke Ranch
- Reply
to a topic/technical issue
Before
posting a new topic
- Is
the post suitable for our site? (See list of
unsuitable topics)
- Are
you using the most appropriate Forum? Please keep discussion
on "Ecke Annuals" in the "Ecke Annuals"
forum.. etc . Ask another member or Moderator if you are
unsure.
- EckeRanchTechHelp.com
is not a chat or instant messaging website. If you require
instant messaging please use another site or an IM program
such as AOL, MSN, IQU, etc. Most members are contactable
by private messaging (PM) or by email for private conversations.
- Try
to keep posts simple and easy to read. Please avoid using
simplified English (eg Nice 2 C U) as it is not understandable
by all. Do not use all caps (eg MY SUBJECT IS …) as
some individuals see this as shouting.
- Please
describe the topic in the title. It helps us decide on whether
to read it or not and/or find it later.
Before
replying to a topic
- Threads
must stay on topic. Please makr sure your reply is relevant
and on topic.
- Respect
that not everyone will have the same opinion as you. Yes,
you may not agree with it, but respect their opinion, just
as you would hope yours would be.

The
Ecke Ranch Tech Help Bulletin Board is intended to be a tool
to for our professional grower customers to communicate with
the Ecke Tech Help Staff and growers around the country (and
world) about technical issues regarding the production of
Ecke Annuals and Ecke Poinsettias.
Postings
can be anonymous to protect the identity of the greenhouse,
if desired. When registering, fields such as the user name
and display name can be nicknames or names that only the user
can identify to remain anonymous. The fields for the city,
state and country are the only required fields. These fields
are necessary because they help our staff, and the other people
using the board, understand the growing environment the user
is growing in.
The
Ecke Ranch Tech Staff will be monitoring this forum regularly
to reply to questions from our customers. External users of
the board, such as professional greenhouse growers, are also
encouraged to reply to messages on the board that they have
had experience with. Our goal is for this board to become
a place where professional greenhouse growers can share their
expertise accumulated through the production of Ecke Annuals
and Ecke Poinsettias.
We
hope the information provided will be helpful. It is based
upon data and knowledge (including information provided by
