Chianti chlorosis by Michael Vietti (created on )Gallery | Comments
Photos are of the 'Chianti' variety that is experiencing chlorosis problems. This seems to occur every season.

I just finished checking the E.C.: 1.7 and the pH: 6.2. All previous soil and leaf analysis's performed over the past 3 years when this has happened has come back negative for anything nutrionally wrong. I'm beginning to wonder (since I can't remember) if this started happening after we applied our Marathon II drench for late season whitefly control. Also thought it might be due to increased GH temps that sometimes occurs here in Central Calif along with very high light levels. At first glance it looks a little like Magnesium deficency, but that doesn't seem to be the case when we look at soil and foliar analysis's.
Any other ideas? This is the only cultivar out of about 28 varieties that we grow that has this problem
