I am seeing an issue I have seen once before but dont know what causes it. One fully colored bract leaf has started to twist throughout the petiole through the midrib of the leaf. So one leaf per pot is showing its underside. Does anyone know what might cause this? Environmental conditions, Phytotoxicity, nutrition?

Hi Frostbit - do you have an image you can post? Nothing comes to mind for a cause off the top of our head so if you have a picture it might give us a better idea of what's going on.
Thanks! Thank you for using Ecke Ranch Tech Help on-line! |

Look at the 11/18 picture of Prestige Red here: http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/floriculture/height2008/P5photo.htm. This may be what you are seeing with a bract turned so the bottom shows. This is pretty common on Prestige and is less evident as plants mature. Jim

Yes thats exactly what it looks like. When you look at the crop from the end of the row you see little flags of pink. It also seems more noticeable on the hotter end of the greenhouse. Nothing that will keep them from being shipped, but enough of a wierd thing to keep me working on my poinsettia ulcer. Thanks
