We have been experiencing an increasingly difficult time controlling the amount of spam appearing on the bulletin board. The content of many of the posts has become offensive to our users. In an effort to eliminate the amount of spam posted, effective immediately we will now require that all users become a registered user in order create or reply to a post. Users will still be allowed to view posts without logging in as a registered user.

As a long time user of this forum I applaude your attempts at getting rid of the spam that has absolutely nothing to do with the Nursery industry. Is there some way that those of us that are registered do not have to have their messages "delayed" while they are being approved? Almost 1/2 of my posts this year have had to be approved and some did not show up for three days. I felt sorry for the grower who wrote in that his electricity had gone off and he was afraid he would burn his crop up. The response that I wrote within an hour of his post did not get approved for two days which made my recommendations way too late. Is there any way some of us can be placed on an "approved list" of posters by your server? Thanks...Michael Pawelek

Now that we will require everyone to register before making a post we will be able to remove the trigger words. Without the trigger words posts shouldn't go to the approval queue for any reason and all posts you make should be live right away.
