Doing this as a hobby, this site has helped me a lot since I don’t have access to all the resources pro growers do.
My goal is to try and grow a few Poinsettia trees. I do have your book which make mention to them. When should the plants be started? I’m only able to get my cuttings in July which I’m thinking is to late. I do have some plants in the house left from this past season.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hobbygrower -

In order to do the really big trees plants are usually started in April or May but there are smaller tree forms that can be started later. Here's a document that outlines tree production and culture including a schedule for the different sizes: Poinsettia Tree Production. Please take a look at the document and let us know if you have futher questions.
