In December 2008 I went to a poinsettia trial and really liked Ecke expermimental 14001. I made a notation that it was pure white and scored it a 5. Was this the Polar Bear? Thanks.

PX14001 was the experimental number for Polar Bear.

I grew Polar Bear this year in 6" and as straight-ups, 5/pot in 9", and was very pleased with them. They don't need much in the way of PGRs and the stems are strong like Prestige. Great white color. They also held up very well in a tree stand for over a month.
