Poinsettias will tolerate a wide range of salt levels as long as they are not allowed to dry out too much when the levels are high. We suggest you allow the soil to dry slightly before leaching the plants well with clear water to try and reduce the salt levels. We are at a point in the season where overwatering can lead to Pythium problems, that's why we suggest waiting to let the soil dry slightly. As long as the soil doesn't dry out too much the high levels you have right now shouldn't damage the roots.

With high salt levels, how is plant health otherwise? Are the roots healthy? Can you describe your fertility program?

Thanks!

i failed to wait on the clear rinse, so, i guess i should continue planning on drenching tomarrow,i used banrot the 1st. of Oct. , planning on using heritage tomarrow, on a scale of 1-10, my roots are 5, some varities better, i grow in promix, wonder if i should change to a courser mix? plants are a little behind in size, overall i am playing catchup with fascination and warm days 77 on cloudy ones, i didn't get the normal surge of growth i am use to during oct. letting sunny days run up lower 80's, running nights at 68, ave 67-69 nights,
