Our Chianti variety has begun to display a very irregular chlorotic pattern on older leaves. Past soil and foliar analysis shows nothing abnormal nutrionally. This has occurred every year and generally goes away once the plants have finished. Bract color and expansion looks to be normal. What gives?

Can you post a picture?

Chianti is not a variety that we would consider particularly sensitive to lower leaf yellowing or nutritional issues.

How is root health? Have you checked EC levels? It is a more compact variety so fertility and moisture needs will be less than more vigorous varieities so fertilizer rates and watering frequency needs to be adjusted accordingly. If EC levels are high or the media is too wet it can lead to some lower leaf yellowing.
