My medium green leaf poinsettias such as peterstar are awfully yellow and pale looking. The dark leaf varieties look good. Soil analysis shows ph- 5.7, Ec- 1.36, Nitrate n. 72.0 , amonium N 10.4, others all seem to be in range except iron which is a lttle low at .21ppm.Possibly a lack of iron? Thanks

What rate have you been fertilizing the light leaf cultivars with? We typically recommend that the light leaf cultivars get an occasional boost of nitrogen at 300-400 ppm. As a general rule to follow, we say that light leaf cultivars need 25% higher fertility rates than the dark leaf cultivars so if you have been fertilizing all you cultivars at the same rate and the rate is low than the light leaf cultivars would benefit from a boost of fertilizer.
