I have Some Poinsettia I would like to still spray with Cycocel, Snowcap,Marblestar,Autumn Red and Monet Twilight. I still use Bonzi drech later if needed. Is it to late in Virginia to spray Cycocel or what can I do?

It depends what you want to accomplish. Plenty of growers would still spray Cycocel now if they needed the height control. There would be less problem with the vigorous varieties like Monet and Snowcap. More bract size reduction would be expected on the early varieties like Autumn Red. If these crops are on natural days, bracts on Autumn Red should be almost half developed at this point. Also, the warmer and sunnier the weather over next 7 days the less problem. If you want the ease of spraying or want to use up some Cycocel and will accept the mild bract size reduction that may occur then the spray is OK. If you need to stop them, then a Bonzi drench now would be much more effective. Also, if you want to get the height control and have the largest bracts possible, then I suggest doing a low dose early drench now and a late drench later if needed. Jim
