The smaller leaves toward the center of the bracts on my peterstar whites and pinks are turning brown along the edges. Any idea what maybe causing this?? We are using a calcium based fertilizer, although we have not sprayed calcium

Hi Crystal - It does sound like bract edger burn which is a localized calcium deficiency to the bracts. Calcium is an immobile nutrient and requires the flow of water to supply calcium to new tissue. Bracts lack functioning stomata so a localized deficiency can easily occur even if you have been fertilizing with calcium. Certain pinks and whites can be more sensitive to bract edge burn. Here's some more information on the subject: Foliar Feeding of Calcium to Prevent Bract Edge Burn.
