I found out that my poinsettias have a Mo deficiency. I am familiar with the rate of supplement feed of Mo. My question is that I realize I am a little late with the supplement. What rate would I use for a late correction? I am already seeing yellow margins on leaves on the mid and upper portions of some of my crop. I have added .8ppm Mo with my last watering. Should I go higher?
Also I have one other question. I am seeing more fungus gnats than I would like. What can I safely use at this stage? I have already used distance as a sprench early in the crop. What about Gnatrol? Thank you |

jvw - the recommended corrective treatment for moly is 1 ppm. You really can't over do it with moly and toxicities really just don't occur so the next time you fertilize you could come back with the 1 ppm.
Right now for the Fungus gnats some safe options for the bracts would include Tristar as a spray or Safari or Talstar as a spray or drench. Thank you for using Ecke Ranch Tech Help on-line! |
