Zerotol works well, but you must apply it religiously and you use a lot of it. It works very effectively as a drench, but it tends to burn poinsettia leaves when applied as a spray.
I have used it to combat the green mossy like substance that forms on the top of a pot when it is kept moist for a long time. The fungus gnats really like this slime, but the zerotol eliminates it in one application.
We have used it as spray on annual cuttings and plugs that we grow. It also works well as a sanitation tool.
We frequently use Zerotol at the Ranch as a disinfectant and in part of our chemical rotation for prevention. We keep rates on the low end of the recommended range and have not relied on Zerotol for suppression of active infections. It has been our experience that rates required to suppress an infection are very high and we have noticed burn after the application.
