Most of my poinsettias are just below the lines in my graphs. However my snowcap and monet twilight are with in the lines and are growing really fast (.5 inch since friday) what would be a good rate to spray on these to slow th growth down.

Hi Rachel, those two varieties are very vigorous in warm climates and you are correct to be a little aggressive and treat early before they get out of control. Here you can see what we have done on 6.5 inch: http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/floriculture/height2002/MT/MT.htm; and http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/floriculture/height2004/html/SN.htm. For both varieties I would suggest using the 1,500 ppm B-Nine and 1,250 Cycocel. If you feel you want to really slow them or stop then the higher rate of 2,500 ppm B-Nine and 1,250 Cycocel would be the thing to do. Snowcap is probably 10-14 days from initiation in TN so you could make another strong spray in 7-10 days without any problem. Monet Twilight is probably 14 days or more from initiation. Good luck with the crop. Jim

Also, these are excellent varieties for treating with the early low dose drench. They were two of the varieties we used in developing the procedure. This is a good summery of the early drench recommendations. http://eckeranchtechhelp.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1906084...311013672#9311013672
