In light of recent discussion of pink varieties and I thought I would share data from the past 3 years of our consumer surveys done at the University of Florida Poinsettia Show and Sale. Two strong points come out: 1. The very bright color of Polly’s Pink was preferred by the majority. 2. A significant number of participants preferred a different shade of pink.

Participants were shown 5 plants without names and asked if they liked any of the plants to pick the one they liked the most. (n= the number of participants)
