We are encountering a little edge/tip burn in our Autumn Red, one range is very noticeable, and seems to be getting worse. Other ranges with Autumn Red, you can find it, but it is not nearly and noticeable. We are thinking nutritional, but can't remember which element. We have a test out, waiting on results.
Any thoughts?

Hi Chuck - In the photos it actually looks like a molybdenum deficiency which is usually expressed as marginal yellowing, edge burn and upward rolling of the newly mature leaves. Molybdenum deficiency could be a problem if you haven't been routinely supplementing with molybdenum or the pH drops below 5.5. If you are supplementing with molybdenum, what form is it in? Is it possible that in the one range if the molybdenum is being added separately that it accidentally go left out of the stock solution? Is pH consistent between ranges? Just some thoughts…….
Let us know when the results come back; hopefully it will confirm the nutritional issue and we and we can talk about corrective treatments. Thanks!
