Wondering what others use in their programs for early fungus gnat prevention? Possibilities might be: Gnatrol Duraguard PlantShield ?????
Will be interested as to what others are using or suggest. Plan on day 4-6 drenching with subdue maxx + cleary's. Then would like to do a prevent drench for gnats. Thanks and here we go into a new poinsettia season! Long days, sleepless nights LOL DC

Many growers are using Duraguard or Gnatrol. Another chemical to consider would be Distance, just read the label carefully before use and pay special attention to the application method, mixing instructions, and volume of finished solution applied to each pot. Another chemical that is commonly used for fungus gnats would be Safari. We have talked with many growers that were happy with the level of control they achieved using Safari. It is also a good choice for whiteflies!

Thank you for the information. So either duraguard or gnatrol will be good as a prevention drench. Will check the duraguard label for repeat usage etc. We also grow vegetable transplants & celery on the property and want to be sure not to have gnat issues this year! I will hold my Safari use to later in the crop season for it is indeed a wonderful product but can only be used twice as a drench and once as spray within the crop cycle. I hold that for 'bigger' issues later on So I am planning day 4-5 for subdue / clearys and about day 10 for gnat drench. Comments??? Thanks DC
