Hi gang, IF Vital (by Phoenix) were labeled for poinsettias, does anyone think it would be effective on pythium or maybe have some other toxicities? Just asking, you know, IF IT WERE LABELED for poinsettias. Wink

Sorry for getting back so late on this...

Vital is a systemic fungicide for the control of diseases caused by Pernospora spp., Phytopthora spp. and Pythium spp. based on Potassium Phosphite. (quoted from Griffin website)

Thanks for getting back to us.

Becasue Vital is not labeled on poinsettias and we don't have any experience with it's use we would not feel comfortable offering any suggestions here.

Armicarb 100 is a potassium bicarbonate product that is labeled for use on poinsettias so if you were looking for a similar product you may think about trying Armicarb. Here's a link to Armicarb's label:Armicarb Specimen Label
