I read Jim's comments on "early drench rates " for Bonzi and would like to know, if simular testing was done for Cycocel.I would like to slow down the growth curve on agressivly grown varieties such as Plum Pudding and Snowcap in 6" and 8" Pots.

Frank, Cycocel as a drench during this period has been done by some Canadian growers for years. I have not done recent drench trials with Cycocel. In the States, a Bonzi drench is less expensive that a Cycocel drench. 25 years ago, back in the C-1 and V-14 days we used to drench Cycocel at about 2,000 ppm, but I would guess appropriate rates for you would be in the range of 1,000 to 1,500. Maybe someone with experience with Cycocel can provide more information. I would suggest that you do some trials with Bonzi or other Paclo product to see how it works for you. Based on feed back from growers in cool climates who have tried this, I have a lot of confidence that you will get the results you are looking for. Vigorous varieties like the ones you mentioned are the place to learn this technique. Jim
