These are on stock plants, leaves are curling upward. They have been planted from liners since April and are 2-3' tall. They have been treated with Cal-nitrate thinking that this may be ca deficiency, but no change. they have been fertilied with 21-5-19 and 10-0-0. the other varieites in this crop are doing well. Roots look healthy and white.

Could you post a picture of the curled plants? In past seasons many of us in the deep South have encountered an upward curling of Prestige leaves on otherwise healthy plants and have found this can be due to high temperatures and high light intensities. What are your daily high temperatures and what amount of shade are you using if any? Below is a picture from 2003 when I first encountered this problem. Once shade cloth was applied the leaf curl went away the next day. Be forewarned though. This curl can also appear when roots begin to get damaged by pythium and phytophtora root rots and the vascular system is compromised.

As Michael noted, Prestige can show some upward leaf curl with high light, high temperatures, and slight moisture stress. That said, you may want to evaluate temperatures and light levels on the stock plants.

Certain chemical applications can cause a marginal leaf roll - the margins actually look like they are tightly rolled versus more of a "folding up" that is associated with the heat stress. Have you made any chemical applications that correlate with the onset of the symptoms?
