Hi mghse - Necrotic spotting or burn on the tips can often be an indication of a nutrient deficiency. Calcium would be the first that comes to mind. Have you check the pH and EC recently? The pH would give us the first clue which nutrients might be lacking. Burgundy may be the only one showing it right now - within any species there will always certain varieties that express nutrient stress more readily. NC State has a wonderful deficiency series including Calibrachoa. They include images of deficiencies and toxicities affecting Calibrachoa. Here's a link: NC State Floriculture - Deficiency Series. Take a look at the images to see if any resemble the symptoms you are seeing. Burning on the tips can also be from spray damage or you could see it if the plants have been allowed to dry out to much. Here again, especially with the spray damage, certain varieties may express damage more easily than others.
