ok, this post is not strictly about plants...I grow lots (10000+) points and even more bedding, impatients, geraniums...mostly from ecke. I am a new grower and the chem shed at my company has a few backpack and a dramm 12gal power sprayer. I need something bigger/ more efficient and was wondering what ecke...or growers reccomend or have found useful for pest and fungal foliar applications. also I have been using a little hose end sprayer (via the homedepot clearence rack) for small applications of systemics and things where accuracy isn't paramount. is this a common practice or is it considered bad form for us modern growers... I know it is wasteful, but it is soooo easy. thx

A good sprayer available for approx. $2500 is the Dramm Hydra 50. I personally don't have it because it is out of my price range but it is definitely a good sprayer. Contact Kurt Becker at Dramm (www.dramm.com). It can drench and spray since it has a large enough flow. I wouldn't use the hose end sprayers due to backflow concerns.

I use the "Mist-R-Drench" by Seibring manufacturing with a 50 gallon tank and an electric motor. Will drench at low pressures and spray up to 500 psi to really blast a crop fast....Michael Pawelek
